Fifty TwoMaybe Mallarmé was right: the world does exist in order to end up as a book. So much of my work has been about the exotic, the fabulous, and the remote. As a project for my fifty-second year, I will make a book a week about the quotidian, and post the covers here. As I release the books, the link will become live, and will link to the print-on-demand site at Lulu.com. This project was inspired by the work of two other artists in particular: Skuta Helgason's book-a-week project and Jonas Mekas' project to make a video every day during 2007. |
